TIPS FOR BARGE TOURS
• Pets are not allowed on the barges. Service dogs are an exception to this rule.
• The weather is very cold and rough at this time of year. This trip is not
recommended for children under the age of 11.
• No food or drinks are allowed on the barges.
• The boat will supply life jackets for every person on the boat.
• It is highly recommended to dress in layers. The wind and the frosty
temperatures at this time of year mixed with the air coming off of the water
can make it extremely cold. Be sure to wear hats, scarves, gloves, heavy coats,
etc. to keep yourself warm. You are also allowed to bring blankets on to the
barge if you choose.
• Professional cameras or video cameras are welcomed, but please be aware
that space is very limited and minimize camera bags, equipment and accessories
if possible. It is also recommended that you keep your camera strapped around
your neck at all times.
• It is recommended to purchase barge tickets in advance as they often sell out
prior to the event.
